Pistol was an owner surrender to GRRNT due to a change in circumstances. He recently had a benign cyst removed from the top of his head, and had his stitches removed a few days ago.

PROFILE

Pistol is 5, going on 2! This pup has a ton of energy and does tries his best to please you! He is one good looking boy!! Pistol has a lot of love to give, but likes you to return the favor. He loves to follow you around the house and try to involved in everything you're doing. He knows when it's playtime (his favorite) and when it is time to chill out. He is house-trained, though is learning not to counter surf or beg.

Pistol would prefer to be with you as much as possible. He does appear to have some separation anxiety if he is not invited to explore the world with you. He is working on his crate training but does whine for a while after you get him in the crate. He doesn't typically enter the crate voluntarily, but has a weakness for treats so you can convince him with some effort. He has not been given the full reign of the house as has shown tendencies to chew (chewed a Frisbee and nibbled on a blanket when left alone).

Pistol gets along with other dogs but prefers human attention over anything else. He hasn't had any interactions with cats, though with his gentle nature, I wouldn't anticipate any issues. He has had a few baths and doesn't seem to mind them.  He was treated for an ear infection, which has cleared up, and had a benign cyst removed from the top of his head, which is healing well. Pistol is ready to find his forever family.
