Elmo came into a local animal shelter as a stray. He has a skin infection and coat loss, and is also being treated for ear infections. Elmo is just settling into his foster home and we will know more about him soon.

PROFILE

Sweet Elmo is a wonderful dog. He's friendly, playful, and affectionate.  He will show off and offer a "sit up" without being asked to.  He is a little pushy for affection, but that's just because he loves his people, and he can easily learn some gentlemanly manners.  Elmo loves to go for walks, this appears to be a new experience for him because has no idea how to walk on a leash, but he is enthusiastic about going with you. Even though Elmo is a little older, he still has plenty of energy, so much so his foster mom thinks he might knock toddler kids over with his enthusiasm. Elmo is a really, really sweet boy, and he will make some lucky family a wonderful companion.

Sweet Elmo is ready to find his forever family!

Elmo's repeat bloodwork showed normal kidney values!  He has the all clear for surgery so he is scheduled to be neutered next week.  His ear infections have cleared up, and his skin is improving.
