Piper was found as a stray and turned over to an animal shelter. GRRNT's volunteer was able to pick her up and bring her into GRRNT's care. Piper has an injury to her front leg and we will be consulting with an orthopedic specialist to see if we can repair it. She is just settling into her foster home now, and we will know more about her soon.

PROFILE

Piper was found in a remote shelter in West Texas and settled into her foster home quickly. She is a blonde beauty, and is very sweet. She loves her toys and playing with her foster brother Tucker. She is a super smart girl and learned her crate training, how to sit and give a “high five” and playing ball. Piper loves everyone she meets, especially little kids. She is a happy, playful girl and will bring love and joy to her forever family.

UPDATE

6/17/18 The orthopedic specialist determined that Piper's leg is probably a birth deformity and there is no surgery that would repair the defect. Piper is a happy active puppy, with a front leg that is just a little shorter than the other one. She doesn't know there's anything different about her leg and is on the go all the time.
