Ft. Worth Home Show - September 24-26, 2005

GRRNT had a booth, and I might say one of the most popular booths, at the Fort Worth Home and Garden show where we showcased both our dogs and our cause. Thanks to Taylor's Rentals for donating the lovely black table clothes and table skirts that made our goldens stand out from the crowd and to Home Depot for the great carpet the dogs lay on. Thank you to Chuck at Lanier for the spectacular signs. Thank you to Mike Justice and Mike Wernsing (one day after knee surgery) for doing set up and take down and for being there all three days to help. Thank you, most of all, to the wonderful volunteers who spent hours at the show with their dogs explaining to the public what we do and why we do it. Without these very special people we would not have been successful.

The dogs were, as usual, a great hit with young and old. We had the full gamut from the puppies to the seniors, those adopted and those available. Check out the photos. Our goal for this event was to raise the awareness for the need for fosters and to sell raffle tickets. We handed out brochures and in the end we raised over $900 for GRRNT. We were so popular that we have been asked to come back in January for the BIG show. So mark your calendars for the January Fort Worth Home and Garden Show - same time, same place, new date - January 27th - 29th. See you there!
