Katy was found as a stray and her finders were unable to locate her owner. They attempted to find her a new home, but then realized that Katy was pregnant and reached out to GRRNT for help.

10/17/18 Miss Katy had 8 puppies today!
Pupdate on the Howl-o-ween Litter 🎃: We actually have an equal number of boys and girls -- 4 each -- which was discovered after doing a final gender check ✅ They have all been named; the girls are Goblin, Boo (white w/2 spots), Salem and Hocus. The boys are Pocus, Frankenstein (Frankie), Spooky (white w/black spot on head) and Ghost (solid white). They will be available for adoption sometime in January so get your applications in at goldenretrievers.org/adoption-application.

Boo and her siblings should be ready for adoption in early January, but you can meet them at their foster home with an approved application.

Boo is currently 7 weeks old (on Dec 5th) and she is always ready for action! She will not be left out of anything that is going on around her.

Boo’s mother, Katy, came to GRRNT after a good samaritan found her wandering around and tried to find her owner, but was unsuccessful. So, they turned her into GRRNT. Boo and her siblings were born during the night of October 17th. The last to be born did not make Boo the runt or make her shy. She is a bold and playful puppy who is always busy. She doesn’t mind a quick cuddle but there is so much for her to do that she doesn’t stay still for long!

Boo was born all white, with 2 brown spots on her back, but her look is changing! She has developed brown “tick marks” or freckles all over her body and her face is getting quite brown as well. Take a look at her profile pictures to see a recent picture taken of her backside to see the markings and you can easily see the difference between pictures.

Boo needs another dog in her home to learn from and play with who will not mind her effervescent personality. But she is not a candidate for a home with a senior dog. She plays with her littermates so much she would likely be very lonely without another dog.

Puppies need to be safe when they are outside playing, so a fenced yard and supervision is a must. Boo must also have someone home with her or be taken to work with you daily. She is too young to be left alone for a full work day, even if you can be home for lunch. That’s too much alone time.

Boo is a happy, bouncy girl and will need good training to become her best. She is looking for a family that will be as active as she is.

She is a typical puppy who puts everything in her mouth, and uses her teeth on everything in her environment, including your shoes, toes, hands and clothing. We are working with her to learn that this behavior is unacceptable, but she is still young and it is a process.

Boo is not house trained yet -- after all, she is just 7 weeks old -- but she is doing a great job going potty when we take her outside.

Boo is a really good girl looking for a really good forever family with another playful dog. Is that you?
