Foxy is brand new to GRRNT. She is settling into her foster home and we will know all about her soon.

PROFILE

Foxy joined the GRRNT family around the first of August. She does have some anxiety and nervousness, but has begun to feel more comfortable in her foster home. Foxy is a very sweet girl that is going to require a home that is willing to work with her to make her feel safe. She is currently on medication to help with her nervousness, and hopefully once she has been in her new home a few months, and feels secure and more confident, she will be able to come off the medication, with the assistance of the new owner’s vet.

Foxy is great in the house! She is crate trained, house trained and does not get into anything that is not hers in the house. Foxy loves/needs to have a stuffed toy or something in her mouth most of the time. She loves to carry her stuffed toys all around the house, and doesn’t really like any other dogs to take her stuffed toys. Her current foster brothers have been foster siblings for a long time, and so they let her have all the toys. Foxy loves to ride in the car, and will take her spot in the back and hang out as long as she is with you.

Foxy is great on a leash, but very unsure about dogs approaching her. She wants to hide behind whoever is walking her when another dog is approaching. She has a tendency to growl and sometimes snap a little bit, but this appears to be because she is scared of the other dog and not aggression. She has done much better with other female dogs than male dogs, but is currently in a foster home with three male dogs. Foxy will NOT be a dog park dog.

Foxy would really like a home where someone will be there with her during the day. She would be best in a home that does not have too much activity or traffic in and out all day, due to her nervousness. She is the typical Golden who loves to be with her person, and will stay by your side all day. Foxy will make an awesome addition to the right family.
