Sebastian will be going through heartworm treatment November to December, and should be ready for adoption in January

Sebastian is an owner surrender to GRRNT. He does have heartworms and will need to go through 3 months of treatment. He will not ready for adoption until January after treatment has been completed. He is just settling into his foster home and we will know all about him soon.

PROFILE

Sebastian came to GRRNT as an owner surrender because of a change in circumstances. He is currently being treated for heart worms. He is a GORGEOUS English Cream golden that is a year and a half old with the sweetest personality and disposition. He is super snuggly and is a super Velcro-type dog with people. With Sebastian, it’s all about his people.

Sebastian is a big strong guy that is little timid when meeting new people but warms up quickly. He gets along well with other dogs; however, he will push them to the side for petting, and wants to be the dog to get the attention. He’s a little bit of a toy hoarder, and tells the other dogs “mine” sometimes. He also loves to chase tennis balls. After a couple of weeks, he has just started to play with his foster family’s dogs. There are no cats in his foster home, so is foster family has not seen him around them, but his previous family reported he loved cats and likes to play with them.

Sebastian doesn’t love the car but he doesn’t hate it either. He is difficult to get into the car since he’s a little scared of it as well as big noises. He’s all puppy and is very curious. Sebastian is very polite. He has a trick where he sits up on his hind legs and crosses his paws, like he’s saying “Please”. Sebastian wants to be underfoot all the time so he can be right there with you whatever you are doing. He is house trained and crate trained, but needs some work on the leash. Like most dogs, he will definitely go after a squirrel or a rabbit if he sees it.

Sebastian’s dream forever home would be one where he is the only dog, and someone is home all day so he may follow him/her around from room to room. While he generally gets along with his canine foster siblings, he is far more focused on people than other dogs.

All Sebastian wants is a forever home with someone that will love him, snuggle, and throw a ball for him.
