Bailey - #08-118
Female - 5 years

Bailey is a sweet girl who has been through a lot in her five years. She previously spent her days in a backyard with two other dogs, until she was rescued by GRR as an owner release. She came to us with skin irritations, a ruptured ear drum from several untreated ear infections, and heart worm. However, with meds and several trips to the vet, Bailey has proven what a trooper she really is!

And now she’s loving her new found life of luxury. She’s adjusting to life indoors and though she still moves around with caution at times – crouching low to the ground – she has come a long way from the timid, scared dog she was a few weeks ago.

Her most unique physical characteristics are what we call her earrings – a knot in front of each ear that we assume is a build-up of tissue from repeatedly scratching her aching ears. Bailey also likes to talk in a string of quiet moans and groans – we call them her dinosaur noises.

She is still getting to know her foster siblings – a cat and dog – but she seems more interested in playing with them than snacking on them.

Bailey’s ideal day would contain lots of naps, belly rubs, yummy snacks and just being with her foster family. She isn’t used to getting much attention, so she can feel like a shadow – not wanting to get too far from her source of affection. Her favorite trick is to bat her big brown eyes, hold up her paw and guilt anyone who will pay attention into petting her. She uses her extremely soft coat, loveable personality and sweet face to melt your heart.

Bailey needs lots of extra love, but there’s no doubt that she will give even more in return.
