Hank - #08-123
Male - 1 year
Hank, along with possible littermate Homer, was picked up as a stray by Animal
Control in west Texas. Fortunately for them, some loving volunteers brought
them to GRRNT – and it was a good thing they did. Both boys were VERY thin when
they came to us. Like most 1-year-old puppies, they are full of energy and burn
off pounds quickly, so we’re still struggling to keep enough weight on them.
This should become easier over time, as they settle into their forever homes
and get a little older.
Homer has beautiful golden eyes – very unique and a little exotic-looking. He
has a sweet, sweet personality and is social with other dogs. But he should not
be in a family with small children, as he can unintentionally knock them down
with his puppy exuberance. Hank does like to jump up for attention, but his
foster family is working on “off” a lot.
Like any puppy, Hank will need a family who will take the time to train him.
Regular exercise will be very important, too, to make sure he gets to burn off
all that puppy energy.
Foster Mom says: "Like Homer, Hank is bouncing with energy, makes friends
easily and has absolutely the sweetest disposition. They are both getting quite
a bit calmer, and will be easily treat-trained. Bottom line is – we love Hank
just as much as Homer."
Hank needs an active forever family he can grow up in and grow old with. If
you’re looking for a sweet, young bundle of energy, with a Golden personality
and golden eyes, Hank’s your boy, for years and years to come.
