Rambo came to GRRNT as a surrender when his 85-year-old owner passed away. Rambo had lived with her since he was 7 weeks old and he’s now 4. Rambo’s previous life included sharing his own bedroom with an older Rat Terrier female. When he first came to us, he was depressed – he missed his owner and his buddy. He still doesn’t understand all the changes he has gone through in the last few weeks, but is adjusting quickly to his new surroundings.

Although Rambo was used to being cooked for and hand fed by his previous owner, he has since learned to dine like a normal pet and adheres well to his feeding times. His previous eating regimen caused him to be overweight, but he is now on a diet and is becoming more active.

Rambo is completely house trained, leash trained and will sit on command. He does not jump onto furniture and is happy just relaxing close by. He will follow you everywhere; he loves to cuddle and have his belly rubbed. Each morning he will greet you with kisses. He loves being brushed, too.

Rambo has never been around children, so we’re not sure how he would react, since he is used to peace and quiet, but his temperament is very calm. He does not do well in a kennel, but doesn't mind being gated in a laundry room and will just relax when confined there.

Rambo is full of love and hopes his second chance at life will be as good as the first.
