Veronica - #08-147
Female - 4 years

Veronica’s foster Mom gushes: “This pretty blonde girl has settled in with my other two goldens so quickly that our hearts are in grave danger of falling hopelessly in love with her.” The first day she was at her foster’s house, the resident male "bully" tried to intimidate her, but she stayed as sweet as could be.

Her gentleness with children and seniors has led us to believe she could be a great therapy or even an assistance dog, with the proper training. However, "Ronnie", as we have nicknamed her, only aspires to be loved by a kind and tender family who will comfort her through her thunderstorm anxieties. For the most part, that just means letting her lie close and rubbing her ears.

She rides well in the car, even wearing her harness seatbelt. She hasn't been able to go on long walks yet as she is recovering (beautifully) from her heartworm treatment. At mealtimes, she sits politely and waits to be told it is ok to eat. Climbing on furniture is not something she cares to do unless there is a storm - then she lands in the middle of the bed!

Ronnie has never shown the slightest trace of being destructive. She did, however, appreciate the fragrance of a flowerpot full of thyme and decided to try a sample. Maybe she’s a budding chef?

This beauty of a golden will be a great companion for any family who is willing to see that she gets plenty of exercise and affection. It only takes Ronnie a few days to get her bearings and then she will be ready to stay forever.
