Xavier - #08-146
Male - 5 months
Xavier, a 5 month old male, was found by a kind soul who took him in and tried
to find his owner, but eventually had to take him to the local animal control.
Due to Xavier’s skin issues and his low weight, animal control asked GRRNT to
help this little deserving guy out. Since then, the kind man who found him has
checked on him and even donated money towards his care! There are nice people
in the world!
Xavier has a case of demodex (non-contagious mange) that he is currently being
treated for. Once that begins to clear up and he puts on some weight, he will
be ready to start looking for his new forever family.
When Xavier came to us, he was very timid and scared of new things – like the
doggie door. But -Xavier is doing great now....and he almost has the doggie
door down – he knows how to come in, but hasn't figured out how to go out!
Xavier is a quick learner. He was housebroken in just two weeks, and although
he is new to a leash, he is responding well. Like any puppy, Xavier will need a
patient family who will guide him and teach him what is expected of a good dog.
Xavier's sweet and loves other dogs. He loves to lie next to the other dogs in
his foster home. He even stands up on his big foster brother, Duke, and he's so
lightweight that Duke doesn't mind – Duke is his hero.
We think Xavier would be best in a multi-dog environment with a family who will
take the time to reassure and train this young wanderer.
When you take Xavier into your heart and home, you will be his new hero.
