Amber - #09-154
Female - 9 years

Amber’s previous owners had to make a very hard choice – between a challenged child and Amber, their beloved family pet. Sadly, they surrendered her to their vet, who called us.

As a mature (9 years old) but young-acting girl, Amber combines the best of young and old – she has a lot of energy and loves to play, but is easy going and easy to care for. In her foster home, she has easily adjusted to the family, which includes a teenager, a hearing impaired adult, and two other Goldens and would do best in a family with children over 10 years old.

Amber loves to be near you and will follow you around the house. If you’re working, she lies down and watches as you work, and will lay close by when you sit. She is very alert, easy to train, and has even learned some sign language. She knows most of the basic commands such as sit, lay down, walk, and go outside.

Amber loves getting wet and playing in the water and enjoys walks with the other dogs. She also likes riding in a vehicle. She’s a good watchdog and barks when there is someone at the door.

Amber is on medicine for her thyroid (two pills a day) but is very strong and active, showing no signs of any health problems. She does not like thunder and lightening, and will stay close to you during a severe storm.

Amber is ready to be a playful, active member of a loving forever home… she’s ready to move right into your heart.
