Honey - #10-066
Female - 7 years
Honey is a 7 year old spitfire! After her initial recovery period from heartworm treatment, she turned into an avid fitness companion to her foster family of Goldens and humans. She now walk very briskly for close to 2 miles each day and is even learning to drink out of a sport bottle.
Not only is she lovely to look at, but she is as sweet as she can be - she has made friends with all of the neighbors. She loves to hold hands and cuddle and never seems to grow tired of that activity. Even though her foster family doesn’t have small children, she seems quite comfortable with the ones she meets. Honey loves other dogs and has become a great companion to her foster brother and sisters.
Honey will need to find an extra-special family who will care for her special medical needs. She has serious skin allergies and will most likely be on allergy shots for the rest of her life. The administration of her shots is so easy that her foster’s 16-year-old daughter has gladly taken on the project; Honey has never even flinched while getting a shot.
She also will require a bath once a week and ear cleaning twice weekly. Failure to keep her ears meticulously clean will result in an ear infection. Through all of her treatments, she has been brave and takes it all very stoically.
Honey is just about perfect and very easy to love. She is just waiting for a dear soul who will love her just the way she is and take good care of her few special needs. Honey will be the love of your life.
