Tiger Lily - #10-107
Female - 11 years

When this adorable eleven year-old female came to her foster family, she was suffering from untreated arthritic issues, digestive problems, and hypothyroidism. All of these difficulties caused her to gain weight and become overly sedate. She’s now on arthritis and thyroid medication and has shed nine pounds! With these changes, stairs and hardwood floors are no longer an issue. The change in diet seems to have helped her digestive problems, too.

Her mellow, laid-back demeanor guaranteed an immediate easy blending into her foster family – their Golden and their black lab welcomed her from day one. Now that she has lost weight and is feeling better, her personality seems to be blossoming and her activity level and perkiness have increased.

She is definitely not a high-maintenance dog. Her idea of a perfect day includes short meandering walks, frequent belly rubs, and naps curled up at your feet. Offered ample opportunities to swim, she prefers laying in the shade. Getting along with kids seems to come with ease. Basic commands and walking calmly on a leash are things her foster family is working on with her.

Her only quirky trait is stealing any towel that is left within her reach - she drags them around with her wherever she goes. Otherwise, she is very well behaved and is not at all destructive inside the house. And like many Goldens, she can be very insistent about having you pay attention to her by pushing up your arm until you scratch her head. As soon as you quit, she nudges your arm to tell you not to stop.

All of these things make Tiger Lily so very endearing, it’s easy to fall in love with her.

Tiger Lily would do well in any house, with others animals, kids, or anyone else… she just needs someone to pay attention to her and give her love.
