Golden Greetings! My name is Campbell and I’ve been waiting for YOU!

For the last several months I’ve been with my foster mom. She has been amazing caring for me, encouraging me and teaching me how to be a devoted doggie companion. She said that now I’m ready for my forever home. Gosh, imagine that …a family of my very own!

When I was first rescued, I’ll admit, I was pretty wary of all these well intentioned strangers. It took me a while to warm up new people. But now, I’m a pretty good natured fellow. Each day my loving nature and golden hearted temperament become even more apparent.

My foster mom says that I’m a well mannered young dog. I am crate trained and housebroken. I’m also a really good walking buddy. I know lots of people think dog parks are cool, but frankly, it’s not something that interests me. I believe it’s part of my job to keep a sharp eye on my person, so I’ve been known to growl a warning if an off leash dog gets too close.

Let’s talk kids. . . Most of the time, I love ‘em! My foster mom takes me to the park where I watch them run around like puppies! I even love it when they come over to pet me. But, I haven’t really mastered “sharing”. What I don’t like is when kids think it’s fun to take away my toys. I get kinda’ growly about that. My foster mom says that I probably would do best in a kid-less home.

Wanna’ know what I would like?? I would like to be the only dog in my forever family. I have so much love to share that I’ve even learned the “golden paw nudge”. That’s how we goldens let you know that we’re close by and ready for a little extra loving! Wait till you see my golden grin….I’ve been told more than once that I’m “such a charmer”!

Hey, I can also entertain you with the game I invented myself. It makes my foster mom shake her head in wonderment. I run up and down the hallway flinging my toys into the air. Sometimes I can even catch them. I guess I’m still just a puppy at heart!

My foster mom says that overall, I’m in really good health. I take one medication daily for my thyroid, and she can explain that to you. Sometimes, I get what I call seasonal grass itchies, but it’s no big deal.

Every day my foster mom tells me that I’m an amazing dog. Sometimes she even calls me a sweetie pie (geesh, how embarrassing). She said I’m going to be a wonderful gift for my forever family. But I think that finding my for ever family is going to be the gift of a lifetime for me!
