Chula was an owner surrender to GRRNT. Her owners were actually good samaratans who saw that she had been hit by a car and injured, so they took her in and sought medical attention for her. Once they found out the severity of her injuries, they asked GRRNT to help. Chula's hip was broken when she was hit, and it will need surgery to repair it.  She will stay in GRRNT care until her surgery has been done and she is recovered. Chula will be available for adoption after she recovers from surgery.

PROFILE

Chula is a very sweet young girl who loves to play with her canine foster sister and brother.  Since her surgery, she hasn't been able to play much at all.  She seems to be recovering nicely though and will be getting her stitches out very soon so, hopefully will be able to slowly start getting back into normal activities.  Chula gets along very well with other dogs, cats and people both young and old.  She is still a little cautious around men but, will warm up once she realizes they will be nice to her.  With her previous owners, she was a little too aggressive with one of their pet chickens so, it is probably best that her forever home is free of “free range” chickens.

Chula is getting much better on the leash but, will probably need a little more work on that when she is able to go for walks again.  She loves to please and be near her people and dogs.  Chula has very good manners, she does not jump on people or get on the furniture.  We are starting to work on basic commands so, more to come on that.  She seems to be completely house broken now, though she did have just a couple of accidents when she first got to her foster home. Chula will be a great addition to most anyone’s household.
