Dani was an owner surrender to due to a change in circumstances. She was recently spayed, and will be ready for adoption in mid October.

PROFILE

Dani was owner surrender due to a change in her family’s situation, and is looking for a home where she can be the center of attention. Dani's birthday is March 6, 2015 and so she is still a puppy at less than two years of age.

Dani is very particular about other dogs and how they approach her.  Dani doesn't like any dog that rushes up or crowds her and can be a little snappy in that situation. Dani seems to do fine with dogs that are more mellow and not seeking a lot of attention. Dani will not be a dog that enjoys going to the dog park or social situations with lots of dogs, and it really will be best not to take her into those situations. Given just a little bit of time, Dani does get used to having another dog in the house, and more accepting of the other dog "in her bubble". Dani's behavior with other dogs could get better with some training classes and a little more confidence.  Dani is good with cats, but she will chase them if they run, however she is currently in a foster home with four cats and doing great.

Dani is a very sweet young girl who is crate trained, housebroken, rides nicely in the car and wants nothing more than to be at your feet or right with you every moment. Dani needs a little help with learning to walk on a leash, but is willing to learn and really wants to make her owner happy. Dani does not get on the furniture or the bed in her current foster home, but you can tell she would love the opportunity!

Dani would be happy to be the only dog in the house, with a person who is home with her the majority of the day, or given a dog with the right mellow personality, she could live happily in a home with another dog.

If you are looking for a Velcro dog she is the girl for you!

After spending a week in her foster home, Dani is doing great with all her canine foster siblings.  It seems it just takes her a little bit to get comfortable with everyone!
