Jack is an owner surrender to GRRNT. He is just settling into his foster home now. He does have heartworms and will ready for adoption after completing treatment. We will have more information about him soon.

PROFILE

Jack is a 6-year-old male Golden Retriever who was surrendered by his owner to GRRNT because of a change in his family’s circumstances.  He is a big, loving teddy bear who gets along well with other people and dogs and sometimes cats, depending on the cat’s personality.

Jack loves taking walks, playing fetch and absolutely loves riding in the car with the breeze in his face. This is a boy who likes to go places!  He tends to pull on his leash a bit at first, but then is easy to walk with unless a squirrel grabs his attention, and then it’s off to the races!  So he’ll need a little work on his leash manners.

Jack is house trained and crate trained.  He has been sleeping in his crate at night since his current foster parent  has allergies, but he would love to be on a bed of his own -- or on yours!  Like a typical Golden, he wants to be with his people as much as possible.  Although he is six years old, he still has some puppy energy and is very playful, always angling for love and attention. This happy boy will do well in a family with children, as he has lots of love to give and loves to receive it as well.  He is very sweet and sometimes silly, loves to take a swim and will happily flip over for belly rubs.

Jack will be undergoing heartworm treatment soon, and should be ready for his forever home by early December.  If you’d like a big lump of love in your Christmas stocking, Jack is the boy for you!
