Red was an owner surrender to GRRNT. He is getting settled into his foster home and we will have information about him soon.

PROFILE

Red is a loving, energetic, 5 year old golden that gets his name from his very dark coat. He is very well behaved, and always tries hard to do the right thing!

Red is housebroken and crate trained. He’s not thrilled about you leaving, but understands, and doesn’t bark in his crate. He finds any way to get attention, and loves to meet new people! He will follow you wherever you go, to make sure he never misses out on any fun. All 90 pounds of Red can get worked up when he is having fun, but is able to calm down when needed.

Red knows not to get on the couch, bed, or the counters. He has been given access to the house overnight and has never shown any potty or “chewing” issues. He does not pull you when walking but likes when you keep up with his busy sniffing duties. He loves other dogs, however, does not get along with cats. Red has met a few children, and had no issues with them. Due to the combination of his size and energy, he should not be in a home with small children though.

Red needs an active and patient household who can give him a lot of time and attention. He would love a home with a yard as well as a family who can take him on regular walks every day. He's a pretty easy going pup, but definitely likes to be the center of attention. Red is excited to find his forever home.
