Winnie is an owner surrender to GRRNT. She is settling into her foster home and will be ready for adoption very soon.

PROFILE

Winnie is an energetic gorgeous girl who LOVES playing, toys and chewing on bones.  Humans and other dogs are her best friends, and the best part is she’s house trained.  She has petite paws, average size and weighs 60 lbs. When we first picked her up, she got a little nervous in the car, but laid down. After a few car trips she has gotten much better. Also, she eats very well, but would prefer humans to lay her food down, and go away.  She’s fine with other dogs by her food. We have not had her around any cats or other animals, so we’re not sure how she is with them. 

When it comes to commands, she’s awesome at “sit”, whether it’s treats or other dogs around her at the vet.  We think she may know other commands, but we haven’t had enough time to test it out. Winnie has been good on a leash with no pulling and  also is great at being brushed and paws wiped after a muddy outing.  We haven’t crated her, but think she will be fine for a few hours if needed, but Winnie has been great around the house and doesn’t get into anything she shouldn’t, like the trash, counter surfing, clothes or shoes, so crating her shouldn't be necessary. She wants to be invited on the bed and furniture so she can lay with you. She’ll get up every time after that. At night, she sometimes gets down from the bed and lays on a small pet bed. 

Any family will be super lucky to have this amazing girl! SHE LOVES TO PLAY WITH DOGS, PEOPLE AND TOYS!
