2018 “GUISACHAN GATHERING” DVD: CELEBRATING 150 YEARS OF THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER

This 66-minute DVD explores the history of the Golden Retriever breed and includes significant footage from the “Guisachan Gathering” held in Scotland on July 16-20, 2018. The event drew hundreds of Golden Retrievers and owners from all over the world to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Golden Retriever breed at Lord Tweedmouth’s estate, Guisachan House. Much interested in hunting and sporting dogs, Lord Tweedmouth established the breed of Golden Retriever in 1868 by breeding Nous, a Wavy-coated Retriever, to a Tweed Water Spaniel named Belle. This created the foundation litter of Golden Retriever puppies, three yellow wavy-coated puppies called Crocus, Cowslip and Primrose.
