Liver cancer
Weezie was picked up stray by animal control. She is a senior girl with some of the common senior ailments like arthritis, and some skin issues. She is good with other dogs, even puppies, and children as young as 4 years old. She barks softly to be let out and let in, and sleeps all night, no nocturnal potty breaks needed. She also seems to have good vision, hearing, and her teeth are in good shape. She loves to chew on bones, rawhides, and has no trouble with crunchy dog food.
Weezie arrived in Dallas last week, and has since been spending her days at the GRRNT vet. Her condition is much more concerning that originally though. Her liver values are alarmingly high, as is her Cholesterol level. Xrays showed a growth on her liver so an ultrasound and needle aspirate will be done to send off for testing.
In the meantime, her foster family is giving her lots of TLC, and making sure she is happy and comfortable.
